Blue Matches was a female-led rock band out of Nashville, TN, with an emphasis on melodic elements. They seamlessly combined the energy and catchiness of early 2000s Pop-Punk, 90s Alternative and modern Indie Rock with the maturity and complexity of veteran songwriters. Consisting of Michelle Marston on Vocals, Steven Edwards on Guitar/Vocals, Stephen Smith on Bass/Vocals and Phillip Brown on Drums, the band made a name for itself in the Nashville and surrounding areas. They received regular play on 102.9's the local buzz, Gashouse Radio, Spotify, Pandora and tons of online and indie radio stations, were been featured on 2015's season of "The Real World: Skeletons," E!'s "Stewarts and Hamiltions" and were nominated for numerous local Nashville awards

They independently released two LPs and one EP: Starting Over in 2013, Fear the Truth EP in 2015, and Center of the Universe in 2017. Shortly after the release of Center of the Universe Phillip had to leave the band, and they went on indefinite hiatus.

Their music remains available on all major streaming platforms, and their merchandise is still available for purchase on their Bandcamp page.
