The Little Hobo that Could - 4.26 at the Rutledge, Nashville

We just played our big comeback show at the Rutledge in Nashville, TN. It was a pretty sweet show.

First, we rocked so hard that there are now blood stains on my Andy Zipf shirt. Weak! (and/or awesome!)

Then, as we were packing up to leave, Flying V and I had a wonderful encounter with a homeless woman.

She strode purposefully towards us, a look of rage and determination in her eyes.

Homeless Woman (HM): Do y'all have a quarter.

Flying V (FV): No.

HM: Do you give to the hungry?

PH Ladyfingers (PH): I give to the Salvation Army.

HW: Well I need a buck fifty for the bus out to the shelter.

PH: I can give you a quarter.

HW: (More determined than ever.) It costs $1.50!

PH: I can give you a quarter...

She holds out her hand for the quarter and then power walks away.

Go homeless lady! I believe you can succeed in your quest to have a warm place to sleep tonight! Oh... now I feel like a terrible person.
